Everything you need to know about solar installation, subsidies, and maintenance
The listed price for a 3kW system is ₹2,20,000, though prices are subject to change based on market conditions and may sometimes be lower. Please call or contact us before finalising — we'll give you the exact current price. The PM Surya Ghar scheme credits ₹78,000 directly into your bank account within about a week of installation, making the effective cost around ₹1,42,000. Crystal Grid has a 100% subsidy success rate.
No. In an on-grid system, the inverter automatically shuts off when grid power fails — this is a mandatory safety feature. For backup power during outages, you need a hybrid or off-grid system with a battery.
A 3kW system generates around 350–400 units per month. If your current bill is ₹2,000–₹3,000, it can reduce to nearly zero.
Typically 4–6 years. After that, the next 15–20 years of generation is essentially free electricity.
Most RCC roofs are suitable. The roof should be shadow-free and structurally sound. We do a free site inspection to confirm — about 10–12 sq. mt. of shadow-free area is needed per kWp.
We handle the entire PM Surya Ghar application and net metering paperwork for you. The system must be installed through a DISCOM-registered vendor to qualify — Crystal Grid is registered with TANGEDCO.
Yes. We have bank tie-ups offering solar loans from 5.85% interest, with tenures up to 10 years. In many cases the monthly EMI works out to less than your current electricity bill.
The maximum central government subsidy is ₹78,000, applicable for systems up to 3kW. For larger systems, the subsidy amount does not increase further under the current PM Surya Ghar scheme.
Typically within one week of installation and net meter inspection. Our track record is 100% — every customer who has applied through us has received their subsidy in full.
It is exported to the grid through net metering and adjusted against your bill. A bi-directional meter records both imported and exported units, and you only pay for the net difference.
Yes, but at reduced output. Panels do not generate power at night. On cloudy days the grid supplies whatever solar cannot, completely seamlessly.
South-facing gives maximum output in India. East-West orientation also works efficiently.
No. Panels are mounted using structures with proper waterproofing so roof integrity is maintained.
Approximately 300 sq. ft. (30 sq. mt.) of shadow-free area. Around 10–12 sq. mt. is needed per kWp.
Panels carry a 25-year performance warranty. Our Deye inverters carry a 10-year warranty.
Minimal. Regular panel cleaning and an annual check are sufficient. We include 5 years of AMC with every installation.
Yes. The Deye inverter comes with WiFi monitoring so you can track output and performance directly from your phone.
Yes, provided there is sufficient roof space and your sanctioned load allows it.
Physical damage from external causes is not covered under the performance warranty but can typically be claimed under your home insurance. Manufacturing defects are covered under the 25-year warranty.
For most households with a 3kW system, the consumption bill can come down to zero. However, TANGEDCO levies a small fixed charge regardless of usage, so a minimal amount may still appear on your bill.
